"The site looks fine at first, but…"
The site looks fine at first, but trying to find basic visitor info tested my patience more than it should have. I felt like I had to keep being “just patient” while clicking around for simple things like entrances, directions, and where stuff actually was inside LACMA. The signs and wayfinding felt unclear, and the map wasn’t much help on my phone either. It wasn’t a total disaster, but for a museum this big, getting around and planning a visit should be a lot easier.
"Gift shop felt a bit underwhelming"
I went on lacma.org hoping the gift shop would have more fun or unique stuff, but the selection felt limited. There were a few nice items, but not a lot of variety, and some of the prices felt higher than they should be. For a museum this big, I expected more. It kind of gave me the feeling they’re more focused on charging premium prices than actually offering a great shop experience.
"Everything Lined Up"
The dates and details were correct for my visit, which was a relief. It felt way more accurate than... well, I was just glad I didn’t have to double-check everything once I got there.

"Went to LACMA last weekend the parking…"
Went to LACMA last weekend the parking was Way easier than I expected. I was ready for it to be a whole mess, but the lot was easy to find and there were signs around, so I didn’t feel lost. Ended up getting a spot quickly too, which was a nice Surprise. Paying was simple and there wasn’t any weird confusion with the machine or anything. It just made the whole visit feel a lot less stressful, and I really appreciated that. Always nice when parking doesn’t Ruin the day before you even get inside.

"The Great Kid Boredom Crisis"
I really wanted this to be a hit, but unfortunately it turned into a full-blown boredom emergency fast. The kids were excited at first, but that faded quickly, and before long they were wandering off looking for literally anything else to do. It just didn’t keep their attention the way I hoped it would...

"The place felt kind of neglected"
I went for a museum site visit and it wasn’t really what I thought it would be. The bathrooms were dirty, the trash cans were all overflowing, and some parts just looked like nobody had kept up with them much. It had that neglected feeling, which was disappointing to see.

"I really like LACMA, but their website…"
I really like LACMA, but their website is annoying to deal with. The pages load fine and everything, but trying to find basic stuff like hours, ticket info, or what’s actually open took way too many clicks. On my phone, the menus felt all over the place and I kept getting bounced around like, bro, just let me find the info. It works eventually, but it’s not exactly smooth. For such a big museum, I definitely expected the site to be way easier to use.
"Way More to Explore Than I Expected"
I’ll be honest, I’m always a little worried with museum sites that they’ll look impressive at first but end up being kind of shallow or hard to use. lacma’s site surprised me though. The collection is really deep, and I kept stumbling across more artists and older pieces than I expected. It was easy enough to browse too, so I didn’t feel like I was being led in circles or missing the good stuff

"Feels a Bit Too Pricey"
The membership feels overpriced for what you actually get. From the way it’s promoted, I kind of assumed there would be more perks or value included, but after trying it, it didn’t really live up to that impression for me

"Pretty Smooth Visit, Even With the Crowds"
I used lacma to map out my visit ahead of time, and it helped me spot the best timing a bit better. The museum was definitely busy, but I noticed the lines kept moving in a steady rhythm, and the staff were good about guiding people where they needed to go. The only pattern I picked up on was that the popular exhibit areas got packed fast, especially in certain pockets, so those felt a little tight. It still wasn’t too stressful overall. I do think clearer signs for entry times would make things easier, but for a crowded day, it went smoothly

"Easy and Fun for the Kids"
I used lacma to look up some education programs for my kids and it was way easier than I expected, the family workshops and school resources were simple to find, not overly complicated or made just for people who already know a ton about art, and the activities actually kept my kids interested the whole time which is kind of rare, so we ended up having a really good time and learning a little too, definitely 5 stars from me.

"The staff were, actually, let me put it this..."
The staff were—actually, let me put it this way, they were really helpful and friendly. It was just a little busy when I went, so things took a bit longer than expected, but overall the visit was easy

"Helpful info, but hard to find"
The wheelchair info is there and the basics are covered, which I appreciated. But it took me way too long to find the details I needed. The website layout is kind of ridiculous and could definitely be clearer.

"I went in hoping to be more impressed..."
I went in hoping to be more impressed, but most of the exhibits felt a little thin and kind of all over the place. There were a few pieces that were interesting, I guess, and I can see how some people might enjoy it, but a lot of the rooms just didn’t have much that pulled me in. The layout was also confusing, so it was hard to feel like there was any real flow. For the price and the time spent, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed. Maybe I just caught it on an off day, but I was bored by the end

"Nice cafe, but busy"
Not gonna lie, the cafe was really nice and had a good vibe, but it was busy when I went. Still a decent spot if you don’t mind a crowd

"Ticket Purchase Was More Frustrating Than Expected"
I tried buying tickets on LACMA it was annoying. The pages were loading slowly, the checkout steps weren’t very clear, and at one point I had to re-enter my information, which was frustrating. I did eventually get the tickets, but the whole process felt way harder than it needed to be. I ended up raising the issue with customer support because it seems like something that really needs to be looked into

"Expected Better From LACMA"
Went to lacma for a special event and left frustrated. Info on the website didn’t match what staff were telling people, lines were all over the place, and it felt like way too many tickets had been sold. Paid extra and still ended up missing a lot of what we actually came for. Not really worth the stress.

"Frustrating experience with the ticket process"
The whole visit was kind of frustrating. The site wasn’t very clear, so figuring out what tickets I needed felt more annoying than it should’ve been. Whenever I ran into an issue, it felt like everything was brushed off with “that’s just our policy,” which made it even more irritating instead of helpful

"Great visit, just a bit pricey"
I had a really nice time at LACMA, and I appreciated that the website made the ticket prices clear upfront. Admission felt a LITTLE high for my budget, but overall it was still a good experience. I’d definitely go again, just probably not all the time.

"The buildings feel kind of scattered around, which…"
The buildings feel kind of scattered around, which made the whole place a little confusing to navigate. I didn’t really feel like there was much guidance or personal attention either, more like I was just another ticket number being moved along.
